General Text:  Luke 5:1-11
Main & Meditational Text:  Luke 5:4
Now when we had left speaking, he said unto Simon……
At the beginning, Peter was there, during the process he was there, he never left the place, at the point of performance he was not found wanting.  While some never even have the grace to get the promise, some dodged the process and some missed the manifestation.  The performance time; the time and season of manifestation of God in the life of Peter was about to take place.  I pray on the day of God’s manifestation in your life may you not be absent. In verse 4, ‘when he had stop speaking…’ what does this implies?  Jesus was speaking to the life of Peter to receive Him into his life, equally God was addressing the spirit of stagnation in the life of Peter.  Jesus couldn’t afford to stop speaking until it was done.  When the deal was done, He stopped speaking. At this point, you need to beg God to speak into the situation of your life and not to stop speaking until the deal is done. It was after this that the divine instruction that will turn around the life of peter came. Your own will come today; It was just twelve words: Launch into the deep and let down your net for a catch: He said to Simon, not to the friend of Simon there or other fishermen. While his mate, other fishermen were there looking, by grace Jesus was attending to peter. He singled peter out, may you be singled out, may grace locate you out of the multitude. Pray.

1. Lord, single me out of the multitude for encounter
2. Lord, on my day of visitation may I not be absent.
3. O God, speak to my situation and don’t stop speaking until the deal is done

WHAT TO DO IN TIME OF DISTRESS

What you need to do in time of distress is to cast all your problem on him (Lord) and put all your trust in the Lord Because he is able and abundantly able to deliver and to save

AMP:Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
What a wonderful promise,  what you need is to key yourself into the word and believes that it was  written because you . Let read

AMP:God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has HE CARES FOR YOU

Another thing you need to do is to continue walking in the lord. How can we walk in the Lord ? We can walk in the Lord by reading his word not that alone but to do according to the word.

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

God is there for you to solve the problem only if you accept him as your Lord and saviour.
If you are there and you know you've not give your life to Christ, you can please do that now because tomorrow may be too late

WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Matthew 5:14-16
 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

NIV:Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

NIV:In the same way, let your light shine before others, that
 they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
INTRODUCTION
You are the light of the world
That is you and I are the light of the word, the statement is not an ordinary statement. The statement was alter by our Lord Jesus Christ Glory be to God. HALLELUJAH
To buttress the point clearly, let look at the meaning of light.
What is light ?
Light is energy from the sun ( physical), lamp etc that make it possible to see things
If we look at the definition carefully, we ll see that light was defined as energy from the sun,lamp and so on. Literally, we can establish that light is energy from any source that can produce light to make it possible to see things and Jesus said you are the light of the world which mean their is something called energy, power in you which can illuminate  Which means power to change darkness to light is in you, power to show people and proof  that there is a way where they seems their is no way has been deposited in you.(solution to nation's problem)
I agreed with the saying, because the word " you are the light of the world" was propounded by the LIGHT OF THE WORLD (Jesus) which the scientists can't define neither understand
Before the greatest scientist (Jesus) can called you The LIGHT, it shows that you have been tested and trusted. Hallelujah it means you are capable to reflect the light to
the world
If you look at the book of prophet Isaiah chapter 42 averse 6 'the source of the Primary light says
Source of light = God
Primary light = Jesus Christ
Secondary light (reflector) = You and I
I the Lord, I have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles
I pray again the light in will continue to shine

Topic: THIS GREAT SALVATION
Text: HEBREWS 2: 1-9
“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.” Hebrews 2:1-4 NLT
In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah the Angels that came to destroy it told Lot to escape for his life (Gen. 19: 17). The alarm and outcry is still the same today. In verse 3 of today’s passage, the question is, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? This passage is reminding us of the importance of salvation as we are in the Advent season. Don’t deceive yourself with the logic proffered that there will be many that would be thrown into the lake of fire and hence their combined force will quench the fire. Don’t gamble with your life. It is risky to wait until you get to the burning fire. Work to escape going to hell. Embrace Jesus today. Tomorrow maybe too late. Take a serious thought on this and act now.
Salvation is free but it cost Christ His life to purchase it for us. Acts 4:12 tells us that there is salvation in no other name given amongst men. We cannot obtain salvation through any other way except through the Lord Jesus Christ. If you neglect or toy with this great and single opportunity you are toying with your life. Beware.
PRAYER: Lord, take me by Your hands and pull me out of every muddy place of sin until Christ is formed in me, Amen.

Yesterday was a great day at Cathedral Church of st Matthews

Ojowo Ijebu Igbo when the priest in charge Rev cannon Ogundipe announced the new elected youth executive. They were formally announced to the church on 31st January 2016 as new elected youth executive This are the names

• For the post of the president,  Mr Akingbayi Okusami he was the formal general secretary he succeeded Mr Kunle Odumosu
• For the post of the Vice president, Brother Gbenga Adeiye
• For the post of the general secretary, Brother Busayo Abiodun who was  the former welfare officer he succeeded Brother Akingbayi Okusami
• Assistant Secretary, Sister Simbo Adeleye new elected exco
• For the post of the treasurer Brother Biola Ayodele fomer Organising coordinator

Be positive minded

Read with me from the book of numbers 13:30

KJV:And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

If you read from verse 1 to the end you will see that Moses was instructed by God to send  some people to go and spy the land of Canaan . But out of them it was only Caleb and Joshua brought a good report they see chapter 14 6-8

KJV:And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

KJV:And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
8
KJV:If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey

I can say that Joshua and Caleb can foresee the future they are positive minded, they believed that things will work for better this is what differentiate them from others evil reporters , those that could not foresee the goodness God prepared for them.... those who believed they cant do it, those who seen themselves as nothing where's they are somebody before the Lord, those who believed that they cant be call with a new name like Victor, Victoria and so on see number 13:32-33
KJV:And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

KJV:And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
